With more than 20 years of field research experience, we have developed, managed and completed more than 15 research projects ranging from human disturbance impact assessments in seabirds to investigations of the marine ecology of various New Zealand penguin species.

The collation of scientific information and distilling these in to concise, comprehensible reports is one of our core compentencies. We provide expert reports to governmental agencies such as the Department of Conservation and the Ministry of primary industries as well as national and international NGOs.

Analysis & Methods

Data analysis and development of novel methods for both data acquisition and analysis are another branch of our core capabilities. We offer services from GIS and ecological modelling, scientific data evaluation, and big data analysis, to the creation of web-based data analysis solutions and database development.

Biography

Eudyptes EcoConsulting was founded in 2011 with the aim to bring a combined 20 years of scientific expertise in seabird research closer to decision makers and conservation managers. Supported through an extensive network within New Zealand governmental agencies and NGOs, we offer unmatched services with regards to development of fact-based management strategies and scientific evaluation. Our directors are engaged with prolific international NGOs (IUCN, BirdLife) and scientific institutions, and are Oceania representatives of the Global Penguin Society. Development of ecological projects and execution of field research, particularly in marine environments are our speciality.
