Previous activities 2000/2001 - Studies of environmental related foraging strategies in Little penguins (Eudyptula minor) at two colonies in New Zealand (Motuara Island, Marlborough Sounds and Oamaru) in the course of a 'Diploma' (Institut fuer Meereskunde, Kiel, Germany) and MSc thesis (University of Otago, Dunedin, NZ)
  2001/2002 - Work in a research project to determine anthropogenic influences on Humboldt penguins (Spheniscus humboldtii) on Isla Choros, Chile
